People Are Our Priority
Throughout my life, I have worked to give back whatever I can to the communities and people around me – especially those who need it the most. Being Executive Chairman of Palmetto Infusion has allowed me, together with the Palmetto team, to do this on a large scale and positively impact people’s lives near and far. We are a healthcare provider that is compassionate, affordable, and dedicated to the people we serve.
Servant leadership has always been one of my greatest passions, and it is also one of Palmetto Infusion’s main priorities. Our mission is to help people live more and enjoy more of what life offers by providing comprehensive ambulatory and home-based infusion services to acute and chronically ill patients. Palmetto Infusion’s team works to go beyond personal service and delivers a warm and attentive experience that improves health and quality of life.
Since our founding in 1999, Palmetto Infusion has operated with servant leadership in mind above all else. We hope to make even the worst days for our patients a little brighter with our services. As pioneers in the healthcare industry, we were among the first in the country to believe that a key element we had to provide to our communities and patients was hope. Hope that despite receiving a life-changing diagnosis or an unclear future, a pathway to wellness – even in the darkest moments – could be restored.
Palmetto Infusion’s goal is to improve health and quality of life with kind and attentive services via easy access to our 40+ infusion therapy centers throughout the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. Growing up in the Carolinas, I care deeply for this region and all its residents. I am humbled to be a part of a company that cares for so many people in my hometown and beyond. At Palmetto Infusion, our team treats patients like family and focuses on treating them in a clean, private, and supportive environment.
More Than A Healthcare Team
To be a trusted leader in the healthcare industry, it’s crucial to have a transformational team – and the people at Palmetto Infusion are nothing short of incredible. Our team includes infusion-trained registered nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, physicians, and other healthcare professionals who administer specialty drugs and personalized patient care. But, in reality, they give–and are–so much more.
At Palmetto Infusion, we are problem solvers who break down barriers to treatment and create more manageable, cost-effective access to quality care. We are teachers who arm our patients with critical knowledge that allows them to take back control of their health. We are a resource, sharing our knowledge of the ins and outs of insurance and providing the tools needed to remain mentally and physically strong. We are doers who handle the frustrations and time-consuming legwork that too often bogs down the process of delivering efficient and effective care.
Most importantly, we are different in how we operate in that we ignore traditional concepts of healthcare and infusion centers by putting patients over profit and ensuring a convenient, comforting and nurturing experience. I am forever appreciative of the commitment each individual on our team has made to provide excellent services and transform the lives of people in need.
Each of our soon-to-be more than forty clinics is built for comfortability and ease of meeting patients where they are. This is especially important because it saves countless miles of journeys that some patients have to travel to receive treatments at specialists’ offices or hospitals.
Our cutting-edge infusion centers feature modern amenities to provide the most comfort possible, such as warm private rooms, reclining chairs, soft blankets, WiFi access, healthy snacks, and streaming television entertainment. Our Palmetto Infusion team understands that having some of the comforts of home can make situations less stressful and even produce better results from therapy and treatments. Overall, our aim is to make life easier for patients, their families, and their providers.
Various traits make a great leader, and so many are found in the individuals on our Palmetto Infusion team. I think, in part, it is because they are inspired by my close friend and CEO of Palmetto Infusion, David Goodall. David is a great teacher of many things, but in particular, of the art and importance of listening. Too often, we catch ourselves waiting for a gap in conversation while someone is still speaking so that we can add our point of view instead of truly listening to understand.
These days, I am very intentional about listening to what others say, and as a result, I have become a better conversationalist because I am more engaged rather than focusing on my answers. The art of listening to and understanding patients’ wants and needs is something that Palmetto Infusion is exceptional at, and it makes all the difference in the lives and experiences of the people we serve.
I am very proud of the achievements of Palmetto Infusion and feel grateful to be a part of such an amazing team and mission. I am thankful to the fantastic staff and leadership who are so invested in the company and committed to serving our patients and communities. By restoring health and hope, our team will continue to innovate and change the lives of people and the landscape of the healthcare industry.
